The AO Research Institute Davos, Switzerland offers preclinical services in collaborative research with both industry and universities. We provide a wide variety of animal models (mouse, rat, rabbit, sheep, mini pig) predominantly for but not limited to osteoarticular research. Further services include biomechanical testing, histological analysis, medical imaging, tissue engineering solutions and models for musculoskeletal infections.
In the ArtiVasc 3D project AO Research Institute Davos is part of WP10 and will be involved in the in vivo validation and preclinical testing of the vascularized tissue graft in comparative animal models: mouse (from WP6) and pig. AO Research Institute Davos may also become project partner in biocompatibility testing of electro-spun scaffolds or composites.
